Photo: Coach Krystle SeidelEach year Saint Paul Blackhawks hosts an interactive session for college-bound girls (and another for boys) to set expectations and introduce the process of college soccer recruiting. Krystle Seidel, Macalester College women’s head coach will provide essential and timely guidance for players who look forward to continuing their soccer in college.

High school girls and their parents or guardians will find this information especially helpful, but anyone interested is welcome to attend.

The process is similar for boys and girls. Since the timelines and landscape differ significantly, we will host a separate session targeted to boys.

Topics will include: setting appropriate expectations; academic and athletic preparation; researching available programs (NCAA, NAIA, et al); the recruitment process, timeline, and rules; communicating with prospective colleges and coaches. There will be ample time for questions and answers.

Please check the Macalester College campus map and allow ample time for parking and wayfinding. The talk will be in the “Hall of Fame Room” at the Leonard Center (see map pointer). Enter via the South Entrance facing the Stadium.
