Welcome new and returning Blackhawks soccer players to the 2018 fall season! This page provides details about registration and payment, season summary, key dates, and who to contact with questions. Also, please review important information on Developmental Evaluations.

Fall Soccer is a great time to introduce players to traveling soccer in a short, fun-based season run by Blackhawk volunteer power. It’s also a great time to be a part of your player’s experience. We need coaches and managers for each team. Be sure to indicate your interest in either at registration or contact Chris or Dawn.

  • Club Fees are listed below. The Club Fee covers: MYSA dues, insurance, field rental fees, referees, the Blackhawks Fall Festival, and club administrative costs. Not included in Club Fee: uniforms; and team fees, which cover other team-specific elective expenses

Important Dates

  • June 27 Fall season registration begins
  • July 16–19 Developmental Evaluations for fall team placement
  • July 23 Registration deadline and payment deadline (Blackhawks can only assign registered players to rosters). Players registered after this date will be placed as space allows
  • July 26 U9–U10 fall team placements announced
  • August 27 U9–U10 team training begins
  • September 8–9 fall league games may begin
  • October 6–7 Last weekend for league games
  • October 13 Blackhawks U9/U10 Fall Festival (End of Season)

About Uniforms

We will continue to use the uniforms introduced with the summer 2018 season. Only players new to Blackhawks this fall will need to order a new uniform kit. Families will receive more information on uniforms after registration.

A. We will announce team placements July 26. All players must be registered before they can be placed on a team.
At each age group, we will place our players and teams in the appropriate traveling league division based on our assessment scores and coaches’ evaluations. We challenge our more developed players at the TCSL National level, while the majority of developmental teams in our club (and in our state) participate at the State level. We do our best to make multiple even strength teams at each level.
We allow developmentally-ready 2011s to play up at the U9 level, as this is the earliest age that the leagues and Blackhawks offer traveling soccer. All players (U9–U10) are expected to register and attend their age-appropriate assessments. In some rare cases, it may be appropriate for a player (or players) to play-up an age group. Please contact Chris Scanlon with questions.
Teams are formed for the fall season (August–October). Fall players will also be offered winter training and playing opportunities within the club. We will have a January Evaluation/Registration period and teams will be rearranged for the spring-summer season based on players’ current developmental needs.
Teams will usually practice two times per week. Games will be played on the weekends.
Players need soccer cleats and indoor shoes, soccer ball (size 4), water bottle, and shin guards.
The Developmental Program needs many volunteers to be successful. Being a team manager is the most common volunteer position. Offer to volunteer during registration or via our club administrator.
Yes, all coaches will receive training and guidance from our club directors.
During registration, the league requires Blackhawks to collect “proof of age”. For younger players, this is typically a photo of her/his birth certificate. (A state-issued photo ID or passport may also be acceptable.)
After team formation, team managers will collect a player photo for player passes, a medical liability form, and team fees (for team-specific expenses). Those players participating in TCSL leagues will need to submit a US Club Youth Player Registration Form. Your team manager will also provide information on ordering uniforms.

Blackhawks will announce rosters and more based on evaluations and completed registrations. Register online at www.blackhawksoccer.org. Registered families will receive an email notification that team placements (rosters) are posted on this website.

Payment deadline is July 23, 2018. Player pass will be issued only after registration is complete and fee is paid in full.

Receipt of payment will be confirmed by email. Emails will be sent to parent email address provided during online registration. The registration fee covers: MYSA dues, insurance, field rental fees, referees, the Blackhawks Fall Festival, and club administrative costs. Not included in Club Fee: uniforms; and team fees, which cover other team-specific elective expenses

 

Players registered after July 23 may be assigned to teams on a “space available” basis.
