Youth Soccer Reimagined

Launched in 2020, MLS NEXT is the most elite platform for youth player development in North America. With a commitment to innovation and providing access and representation, MLS NEXT players receive the best training and coaching as they prepare for their futures, both in soccer and in life.

Partnering with MLS Next allows us to provide a premier training environment designed for top-level players to develop and compete at the highest level of youth soccer. Participation in this program requires a strong commitment—players are expected to maintain 90–100% attendance at practices, games, and tournaments. Through MLS Next, our athletes will gain exposure to elite competition and advanced training opportunities.

Our MLS Next Academy teams will play in the MLS Next Cup and MLS Next Fest each year. In addition, the coach will choose College Showcases and any other tournaments.

Travel, uniforms and any additional programming the team may choose is not inclued.  On average, families can expect to pay an additional $300-$1,000 in travel expenses and/or team fees.

At Blackhawks, we’re proud to offer a highly qualified coaching staff made up of experienced professionals who are deeply dedicated to player development and helping each athlete reach their full potential.

Team Manager is a volunteer, year-long commitment. We are recommending that MLS Next teams have two managers due to the additional responsibilities.  Each manager will receive a $125 stipend at the end of the season. Click here for information and resources.

Financial Aid/Scholarships

Blackhawks gives financial aid in the form of percentage discounts off of our programs. Parents must complete a short form in order to qualify.

When registering for any program, including tryouts, complete the financial aid form at that time so that a decision can be made before accepting a spot on a team.  Once a decision has been rendered, the discount will be automatically applied to the program.  If the form is not completed ahead of time, it delays registration and/or accpetance on a team.  More information can be found here.

Financial aid only covers program fees. It does not apply towards the tryout fee, uniforms, team fees or travel.
