Which league does my team play in?

TCSL league is self-selected with the approval of every member club’s representative. We use each team’s league record, roster makeup and coach feedback when choosing playing level. Our goal is to place teams in leagues that are developmentally appropriate for the players. We would like our teams to be challenged but also experience success throughout the season.

Financial Aid/Scholarships

Blackhawks gives financial aid in the form of percentage discounts off of our programs. Parents must complete a short form in order to qualify.

When registering for any program, including tryouts, complete the financial aid form at that time so that a decision can be made before accepting a spot on a team.  Once a decision has been rendered, the discount will be automatically applied to the program.  If the form is not completed ahead of time, it delays registration and/or accpetance on a team.  More information can be found here.

Financial aid only covers program fees. It does not apply towards the tryout fee, uniforms, team fees or travel.

Playing Time

  • Players may be asked to play multiple positions throughout the season.
  • Coaches will do their best to give players equal playing time.
  • The goal for the coaches and club at this level is player development
  • Playing time could be impacted if a player misses training, is frequently late to events or is disrespectful to teammates and the coaching staff

Roster Size

  • U13-U15 teams roster 16-18 players.
  • U16-U19 teams roster 16-22 players
  • Per the league, game day rosters are capped at 18. If more than 18 players are available for any given game, it is up to the coach to decide which 18 will be rostered.
  • Coaches will take attendance, position and other factors into consideration.

Uniforms

Uniforms are not included in the season prices.  Each kit is worn for two years. A new kit will be launched this year which will be worn for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 season.  Please consider that when choosing the size of your child’s kit.
